Otter Creek Marsh – This is a joint field trip with Big Blue Stem Audubon, led by Eric Ollie from Ames. Target birds are migrating ducks, geese, and shorebirds.  Also on our list: sparrows, rails and other marsh birds, including Sandhill Crane.  Trip involves hiking around the marsh from several stopping points. Plan for walking through shallow wet areas and possibly cold/windy temps. Bring a scope if possible.

 To carpool (carpooling only for those vaccinated for COVID), meet Linda Quinn at Kohl’s parking lot, 2795 Commerce Dr. Coralville at 7:15, or meet at the Marsh observation deck on Hwy E66, Chelsea IA at 8:30. 

Estimated return time in Coralville about 1 PM.  Cancellation is possible for inclement weather, per email sent day ahead to ICBC members and posted on ICBC Facebook.
