Swamp White Oak Preserve in Muscatine County:  This Nature Conservancy property near Cone Marsh features wetlands, prairies, and floodplain forests. Leader Dean Hester will guide our group in search of warblers including late migrants and nesting Prothonotary Warblers, vireos, flycatchers, Sandhill Cranes, and Red-shouldered Hawks. One of the land managers will join our trip and provide a Q & A at the end. Expect extensive hiking on mowed paths that may be wet. Don’t forget bug spray! 

Meet at the Fareway Grocery parking lot at 2765 Commerce Drive in SE Iowa City. Carpooling is encouraged due to tight parking at the site. We plan to arrive back in Iowa City about 1:00.
