Intro to Hawkeye Wildlife Management Area for beginners and newcomers to learn birding trails and eBird hotspots on south side of Hawkeye Wildlife Area.

Join leader Linda Quinn to look for breeding birds as we drive and walk trails at a handful of different locations.   Target birds include Bobwhite, and several species of cuckoos, vireos, flycatchers, warblers, grosbeaks. herons.  Wear long pants & footgear suitable for tall/wet grass. Bring bug spray, water bottle and binoculars.  We’ll finish around noon.  

COVID precautions: Make car pool arrangements with friends or drive separately.  Meet at North Liberty Rec Center Parking lot at 7:30.
